Dictionary of Features
Doorphone Call (KX-TA624, KX-TD308, KX-TD816, KX-TD1232, KX-TD500)
If a visitor presses the doorphone button, a pre-assigned extension user can answer the call and talk to the visitor. Any extension user can call a doorphone. The doorphones are also used for the Room Monitor feature.

Fax Detection* (KX-TA624, KX-TD308)
When the system receives a fax transmission signal by DISA, it automatically connects to the specified fax extension. Fax calls can be received day or night without an attendant and there is no need for a dedicated fax phone line.
*A special Panasonic optional card is required to enable this feature.

Station Message Details Recording (SMDR) (KX-TA624, KX-TD308, KX-TD816, KX-TD1232, KXTD500)
This function can record or print out call information; for example, date, time, extension number, dialed number, and duration. SMDR information can help you manage long distance costs, staff productivity and phone system usage.

Uniform Call Distribution (UCD) with Message* (KX-TD1232, KX-TD500)
Panasonic digital phone systems have built-in intelligent Uniform call Distribution capabilities so that calls can be placed into a queue where they are effectively distributed to agents, as they become available. When all stations in the UCD group are busy, the system will play a message to the caller, acting like a receptionist. This is useful for help desks, order desks, or an agent base (insurance and travel agency) where many calls arrive at one time. You can be sure that this will improve the company image and share the operator load as well as important business calls will not be missed.
*An optional card is required.

Direct Inward System Access (DISA)* (KX-TA624, KX-TD308, KX-TD816, KX-TD1232, KX-TD500)
This feature allows callers to access any extension without having to go through an operator. An incoming caller will receive a greeting message and then they can dial the desired extension. A call can be automatically transferred to an extension operator, modem, or external lines.
*An optional card is required.

Hybrid System (KX-TA624, KX-TD308, KX-TD816, KX-TD1232, KX-TD500)
Your new Panasonic system introduces you to a whole new world of connections by allowing you to integrate a wide range of communications equipment and proprietary handsets. Every Hybrid extension port can accommodate proprietary handsets as well as single line telephone handsets, fax machines, answering machines, and more.

eXtra Device Port (XDP) (KX-T7420, KX-T7431, KX-T7433, KX-T7436)
Every digital telephone comes with a built-in "eXtra Device Port" (XDP) so you can instantly add a unique extension and use other communication devices simultaneously. You can fax a document while talking on the telephone, or have a phone conversation while transferring a data file from your PC. No costly rewiring required! XDP gives your communications the flexibility to help run your business more efficiently.

ISDN Capability* (KX-TD816, KX-TD1232, KX-TD500)
These systems are designed to allow users to take advantage of digital networks services offered by ISDN. ISDN service such as high-speed modems and videoconference units can be connected as extensions in the system. ISDN network capability is shared for voice and data communication eliminating the need for separate lines or other costly interface equipment.
*An optional card is required.

Caller ID Call Routing (KX-TVP50)
The VPS automatically sends calls from pre-assigned Caller ID numbers ("wild card" digits can be used) to the desired mailbox, extension, or custom service. There are countless applications.

Live Call Screening (LCS) (KX-TV50, KX-TVP200)
When the LCS mode is activated, you can monitor incoming messages and decide whether or not to take the call. This handy feature is similar to having a telephone answering machine right at your desk.

Two-Way Recording (KX-TVP50, KX-TVP200)
This feature allows an extension user to record a conversation in a mailbox by simply pressing the Two-Way Record function key. A variation of this feature is Two-way Transfer, which permits the extension user to record a conversation in another Subscriber’s mailbox; this is ideal for firms that want their receptionists to personally record messages from callers.

Flexible CO Line Keys With Two-Colour LED (KX-T7420, KX-T7431, KX-T7433, KX-T7436, KX-T7050, KX-T7020, KX-T7030, KX-T7130)
Keys can be configured to show station status, select a line, or dial a station / external number. Red indicates busy, green shows the line you are using. They also enable you to individually program each telephone for either Direct Station (DSS) / Busy Lamp Field (BLF), automatic dialing or one-touch access to frequently used features.
